I can’t believe how quickly fall is approaching! G is already back in school and Ellie’s 1st birthday is just around the corner. In the meantime, enjoy some glimpses of what we were up to this summer!

Our first official family photos as a family of four! Taken by the wonderful Erica Brook Photography, edited by me. Proof that photographers even have their kids go crazy during session. Honestly, and it’s not easy to do, but just embrace the craziness. Tickle them when they won’t sit still and laugh through it – those are my favorite moments.
Some at-home moments (including my attempt at matching family swimsuits) and our sweet Ellie girl was baptized. We are so fortunate to have so much family travel to celebrate our baby girl joining the church.
Ever since she was born, Ellie had these perfectly symmetrical dimples on her shoulders and we just think they’re the sweetest features. The doctor said she will most likely grow out of them so she got her own mini shoot before they disappear.
We made our annual trip to Michigan in June and spent a day in Traverse City. We had such an amazing time, exploring the downtown area and then hitting a few wineries. When I saw that flower field behind one of our stops, I looked at my husband and sister-in-law and they instantly knew we would be having an impromptu family session 🙂
Before summer came to a close, we did a mini beach stay-cation. Staying in one hotel room with two kids isn’t for the faint of heart but we made so many great memories and then it was back to school! Grayson got to pick out his lunch box and water bottle for the school year and to no one’s surprise, both have sloths on them.
